Twins score two Major Division wins

The Tops Twins defeated the Blue Jays 7-1 and the Mariners 19-3 this week in Medina Youth baseball league action.

Twins grinded out a tough victory against a scrappy Blue Jays team. Twins pitching shut down the Blue Jays courtesy of a combined effort from AJ Seefeldt (three innings, eight strikeouts) and Chris Goyette. (three innings, eight strikeouts, one hit).

The twins offense was led by a monster 3 run home run off the bat of Dawson Brown. Seefeldt also blasted a three run homer in the 5th. Goyette was 2-3 with a single and double and one RBI.

The Blue Jays were led by a strong pitching performance from Bryce Seddon who threw three strong innings striking out five. Matt Saj pitched the last three innings striking out five and also recording the Blue Jays only hit and run on the day.

Twins erupted for 19 vs the mariners. Offense was led by Seefeldt who was 4-4 with 8 RBIs 3 runs and 2 home runs and a double. Also helping out was Wesley Hughes who was 2-3 with 3 runs scored and Goyette who was 2-3 with 4 runs scored.

The twins shut down the Mariners behind the pitching or Goyette (three innings, eight strikeouts), Hughes (0ne inning, two strikeouts) and Seefeldt (one inning, three strikeouts.
