Twins advance to finals in Medina Youth Baseball League playoffs
The Tops Twins defeated the Woodroe Realty Blue Jays Tuesday night in the semi final matchup of the Medina Youth Baseball League playoffs.
The Twins jumped out to early lead scoring three runs in the bottom of the first behind a leadoff walk by Wesley Hughes and a single by Chris Goyette and a double by AJ Seefeldt who eventually scored on a passed ball to plate the third run.
On the mound for the Twins Seefeldt got the start and pitched three scoreless innings while striking out 6 and surrendering 2 hits. Goyette hurled the final three innings striking out 6 and surrendering only 2 hits as well.
With a couple of really nice plays at the hot corner Chase Prest was a standout on defense for the Twins.
The Twins move on to the championship game next week taking on the MTA Yankees.
