Turf installation begins at Vets Park
Photos by Mike Wertman – The renovation project at Medina’s Veterans Memorial Park took a major step towards completion today when installation of the shock pad and the new artificial turf surface began. Workers here put down a section of turf on the baseball infield portion of the park. This Phase 1 of the project, which has also included the installation of a new scoreboard, is scheduled to be completed in September. Phase 2 work in 2018 will include the construction of a new permanent grandstand on the south side of the field.
