Trojans romp past Hawks
Plagued by ice cold shooting and a rash of turnovers, Holley dropped a 47-15 decision to visiting Alexander this evening in a Genesee Region League game.
Trailing 16-7 after one period, Holley was blanked in the second quarter as Alexander built up a commanding 18 point 25-7 half-time advantage. The Trojans maintained a 23 point, 36-13 lead at the three-quarter mark.
Matt Genaway scored a game high 23 point to lead the way for Alexander, 15 of which came in the first half. Tyler Laird added 10 for the Trojans.
Joey DeFelice scored 6 and Zach Vaccarelli and Nick Passarell 4 each for Holley which also had Chris Balys grab off 10 rebounds.
Byron-Bergen 53, Kendall 42
Byron-Bergen built up a 27-18 half-time advantage and went on to defeat visiting Kendall 53-42 in a G-R contest.
Mookie Nauden scored 12 points, Will Condo 11 and Evan Gaesser 9 for Kendall which closed the gap to three in the second half but could get no closer. Nauden also grabbed off 10 rebounds and Condo 5.
Now at 2-1 in the league and 5-1 overall, Kendall next visits Holley on Friday.
