Trojans down Hawks in G-R season opener
Racing out to a 19 point first quarter lead, Alexander went on to defeat host Holley 75-41 this evening in a season opening Genesee Region League boys basketball game.
Dustin Schmieder scored 15 of his game high 33 points in the opening quarter as Alexander jumped out to a 25-6 lead.
The Trojans went on to build up leads of 48-11 at the half and 59-28 at the three-quarter mark.
Derek McArthur and Andrew Moseman both scored 10 and Dylan Hillabush and Isaiah Flow each added 7 for Holley.
The Hawks next face the host Rams in the opening round of the Roy-Hart Tournament at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
