Trojans best Tigers in clash of unbeatens
In a key clash between undefeated Genesee Region League division leaders, Alexander bested visiting Lyndonville 55-40 this evening.
Division I front-runner Alexander, which is now 7-0 in the league, built up leads of 14-9 after one period, 27-16 at the half and 43-24 at the three-quarter mark.
Chris McClinic scored a game high 22 points and Ryan Davis netted 17 to spark the Trojans.
Nathan Hydock scored 11, Nathan Dillenbeck 9, Zach Johnson 7, Nathan Poler 6, Russ Stephens 4 and Matt Hess 3 for Division II leading Lyndonville which is now 6-1 in the league and 10-1 overall.
Kendall 51, Holley 43
Kendall downed rival Holley 51-43 in another G-R contest this evening at Holley.
John Rath scored 16, Nate Warters and Hunter Menze 9 and Derek Edick and Dale Steffen 7 to lead the way for Kendall.
Rath scored 11 in the opening period to spark Kendall out to a 13-10 lead and Menze netted 6 in the second to help keep the Eagles up by a 25-18 margin at the half.
Kendall maintained a 34-25 advantage at the three-quarter mark.
Carson Major scored 12 and Kohl Morgan 11 for Holley.
