Tri County Yellow icers nip rival Green
Coming from behind in the third period the Tri County Midget Division Yellow team nipped the rival Tri County Green squad 3-2 this evening in an Empire Amateur Hockey League game.
Trailing 2-1, the Yellow team pulled out the win on third period goals by John Pilon, which tied the contest, and Patrick Ricker, which provided the margin of victory.
Ricker also scored in the opening period to give the Yellow team a 1-0 lead.
However, the Green squad answered with second period goals by Carson Bader and Evan Lawton to rally into a 2-1 lead.
Both goalies, Nick Ray for the Yellow team and Hayden Watt for the Green squad, turned in strong efforts.
The Yellow team is now 15-1 in the league and 20-2-1 overall.
