Tri County surges to two hockey wins
Big scoring bursts keyed the Tri County Midget hockey team to a pair of victories this weekend.
Leading by a narrow 3-2 margin, Tri County used a burst of three straight third period goals to earn a 6-3 victory over Perinton on Saturday.
Patrick Ricker, Jake Esposito and Chase Froman took turns scoring those goals. Ricker had a total of 3 goals in the contest as Josh Gimeli netted the other tally.
Today, Tri County broke away from a tight 2-1 game with five second period goals to key a 10-3 win over Webster.
James Hapeman had 2 goals and Ricker, Matt Nielson and Aaron Sheflin 1 each during that scoring surge. Hapeman finished with 3 goals, Nielson and Ricker 2 each and Sheflin, John Pilon and Froman 1.
Tri County is now 12-1-2 in the league and 13-1-2 overall.
