Tri County icers win tune-up test
The Tri County Midget Yellow team began tuning up for its Empire Amateur Hockey League season by defeating host Webster 10-1 today in a scrimmage contest.
Tri County jumped out to a 2-0 first period lead on goals by Patrick Ricker and Josh Wood.
A big five goal second period uprising, including two tallies by Jake Esposito and one each by James Hapeman, Max Hapeman and Ryan Wells, then broke the contest open.
Tri County closed out the win on third period goals by Ricker, Zach Geitner and John Pilon.
Tri County next scrimmages Rochester on Wednesday.
