Tri County icers score two wins
Showing plenty of scoring power, the Tri County Midget Division Yellow squad scored a pair of New York Amateur Hockey League victories over the weekend downing Webster 13-4 Saturday and Batavia 8-2 today.
John Pilon scored 5 goals to lead the Tri County offense against Webster as Patrick Ricker had 3, Zack Geitner 2 and Josh Wood, Grant Moy and Nico Weber 1 each.
Tri County jumped out to a 4-1 first period lead on a pair of goals by Ricker and one each by Geitner and Pilon.
The lead jumped to 8-3 at the end of the second period which saw Pilon net 2 and Ricker and Wood 1.
Pilon also scored twice in the third as Geitner, Moy and Weber each chipped in with one.
Ricker then scored 3 goals and Geitner 2 in the win over Batavia as Jake Esposito, Moy and Pilon each had 1.
Tri County grabbed a 3-1 first period lead as Geitner netted 2 goals and Ricker 1.
It was 4-1 after two periods.
Tri County also got big efforts from a pair of fill in goaltenders, Espositio on Saturday and Hayden Watt today.
Tri County is now 9-0 in the league and 14-1-1 overall.
