Tri County icers score playoff semifinal win
Getting goal production from five different players, the top seeded Tri County Midget hockey team defeated Rochester 6-3 in the league playoff semifinals this evening at Webster.
Tri County will now play the winner of the Canandiagua vs. Perinton semifinal in the championship game at 5:45 p.m. Sunday at Batavia.
Tri County jumped out to a 3-0 first period lead on goals by Matt Nielson, Jake Esposito and Patrick Ricker.
Second period goals by John Pilon and Chase Froman upped the advantage to 5-1.
Pilon also netted Tri County’s lone third period goal.
