Tri County icers rally to tie Perinton
Avenging an early season 11-0 loss, the Tri County Midget hockey team came from behind three times to earn a 4-4 tie with Perinton this evening.
Perinton jumped out to early leads of 1-0 and 2-1 but both times Tri County quickly rallied to tie, first on a goal by Matt Neilson and then on a tally by Pat Holzchuh.
Perinton regained the lead at 3-2 before the end of the opening period and then increased its advantage to 4-2 in the second.
Tri County though again came battling back first cutting the deficit to 4-3 on a goal by Cam Smith later in the second period and then to net the equalizer on a tally by Tucker Trask with only three and a half minutes remaining in the third period.
Now at 3-8-3, Tri County next faces Batavia on Friday night at Brockport.
