Tri County icers nipped by Batavia
Two unanswered second period goals keyed Batavia to a 6-4 win over the Tri County Midget Hockey team this evening at Brockport.
Tri County jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the first three minutes on goals by Patrick Ricker and Aaron Sheflin.
However, Batavia rallied to first tie the game before the end of the first period and then to take the lead for good at 4-2 in the second stanza.
Tri County did cut the deficit to 4-3 in the third period on a goal by Pat Holzschuh but again Batavia answered right back with two goals to lock up the win.
Ricker’s second goal of the game closed out the Tri County scoring.
Tri County, which is now 3-9-3, next hosts Monroe County on Sunday at Brockport.
