Tri County icers earn first victory
Getting goal production from five different players, the Tri County Midget hockey team notched victory No. 1 on the season by blanking Webster 6-0 Friday night at Brockport.
Tri County jumped out to a 2-0 first period lead on goals by Jake Donoghue and Matt Neilson.
The advantage increased to a commanding 5-0 margin on two goals by Patrick Ricker and one by Chase Froman in the second period.
John Pilon tallied in the third period to round out the Tri County scoring.
Pilon and Victor Benjovski anchored the Tri County defense as Alex Lamparella earned the shutout in goal.
Now at 1-6-2, Tri County next hosts Perinton on Sunday at Brockport.
