Tri County icers claim division title
Locking up the Empire Amateur Hockey Conference Midget Division title Tri County posted a 7-1 victory over Rochester this evening.
First period goals by Chase Froman and John Pilon put Tri County on top to stay.
The Tri County advantage jumped to 5-1 after second period goals by Patrick Ricker, Jake Esposito and Pilon.
Froman and Matt Nielson scored in the third period to close out the Tri County scoring.
Tri County finishes the league season at 16-3-2 and improves to 17-3-2 overall.
Next up for Tri County is a tournament at Pittsburgh this coming weekend.
