Tri champs head N-O All-League softball team

Tri-champions Medina, Roy-Hart and Akron have each placed three players on the first team of the annual Niagara-Orleans All-League softball squad.
Medina, Roy-Hart and Akron shared the title at 9-3 while Newfane finished just a game off the pace at 8-4.
Medina, which ended a 12 year title drought, is represented by senior pitcher Emily Kams, junior shortstop Alisha Scroger and junior centerfielder Destiny Satkowski.
Roy-Hart, which earned a share of its third title in the last four years, placed junior shortstop Kayla Brown, sophomore catcher Maddie Fry and sophomore pitcher Lexie Lovewell.
Akron, which likewise earned a share of its third title in the last four years, is represented by the junior trio of pitcher Mattie Klein, catcher Abby Stone and third baseman Neely Abrams.
Newfane is represented by the sister duo of senior catcher Olivia Littman and junior first baseman Alexa Littman.
Rounding out the first team are Albion senior centerfielder Isabella Prest, Barker junior catcher Kylie Miller and Wilson senior shortstop Jen Darlark.

Kams, Brown, Fry, Klein, Stone, Olivia Littman and Darlak are all repeat first team honorees.
In the circle, Kams registered 154 strikeouts and had a 13-5 record with a 1.60 earned run average. At the plate she hit .464 with 27 RBIs, 13 doubles, 3 triple and 2 home runs.
Scroger hit .600 with 9 doubles, 7 triples, 1 home run and 33 RBIs and Satkowski hit .486 with 8 doubles, 6 triples, 3 home runs and 10 RBIs.
Brown hit .531 with 6 doubles, 2 triples, 2 home runs and 27 RBIs and Fry hit .478 with 1 double, 6 RBIs and 17 stolen bases.
In the circle, Lovewell went 6-3 overall with 26 strikeouts. At the plate, she hit .424 with 5 doubles, 3 triples, 2 hem runs and 15 RBIs.
Stone hit .564 with 6 doubles, 3 triples, 2 home runs and 16 RBIs. Abrams hit .318 with 13 RBIs, 1 double, 3 triples and 1 home run. Klein was 8-3 in the circle with 76 strikeouts and a 1.95 era. At the plate she hit .302 with 7 RBIs.
Olivia Littman hit .373 with 4 doubles, 1 triple, 4 home runs and 22 RBIs and Alexa Littman .318 with 5 doubles, 1 triple and 5 doubles.
Prest, who played centerfield the first half of the season and then shifted to shortstop, hit .371 with 1 double and 2 triples.
Miller hit .397 with 5 doubles and 6 RBIs.
Darlak hit .457 with 4 doubles, 5 triples, 1 home run and 12 RBIs.
The tri-champs each also placed two players on the second team including catcher Ashlee Howell and first baseman Brandi Guild, both sophomores, from Medina; junior second baseman Delaney Draper and freshman pitcher Samantha Choate from Roy-Hart and senior outfielder Sydney Leeds and sophomore shortstop Darion Jonathan from Akron.
Newfane also placed the senior duo of shortstop Teagan Volpe and outfielder Caitlin Chunco on the second team which also includes Albion junior third baseman Natalie DiCureia, Barker senior pitcher/second baseman Abby Bachman and Wilson freshman catcher Emiliee Muoio.
