After combining with Medina the last three years, Lyndonville High has reinstated its own boys and girls varsity track teams this spring.

“It’s exciting to have it back and we’re thankful for the kids who are committed to the program,” said Coach Jim O’Connor. “It’s always a positive for the school to have a varsity program. The kids are excited and the building is excited about it.”

The Tiger squads, which include some 25 student/athletes, are led by the senior contingent of Adam Cifelli, Dustin Hinckley, Dylan Nicholson, Devon Allen, Brooke Kiefer and Alexis Montes.

The Tigers, which will have all of their meets on the road, will make their return to Genesee Region League competition on Tuesday at Attica.
