Today will be windy in Orleans, WNY
It’s going to be windy in Orleans County and throughout much of Western New York today.
The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. today for Orleans, Niagara, Monroe, Genesee, Erie, Wyoming and Chautauqua counties.
Southwest winds will be 20 to 30 miles per hour with gusts up to 50 mph.
The gusty winds may bring down a few small tree limbs and result in isolated power outages, the Weather Service said. Home owners are urged to secure personal property.
