Tigers win Fred Large Memorial Tournament

The host Tigers captured top honors at the third annual Fred Large Memorial Wrestling Tournament held today at Lyndonville.

Lyndonville garnered 112 points to take the team title followed by Alexander with 95.5, Byron-Bergen 65 and Holley-Kendall 42.

The Tigers had a quartet of individual weight class champions including Sebastian Temich (152), Connor Bell (118), Rodney Davis (172) and Sam Doolan (215).  Temich went 5-0 with five pins and Davis was 3-0 with three pins.

Lyndonville also got second place finishes from Christian Garver (102), Ty Holmes (110), Brennon Munn (132), Noah Neff (138), Dylan Burt-Hodgins (145), Payton Grabowski (160), Maddox Stirk (189) and Avery Wilcox (285).

Holley-Kendall had a trio of winners including Will Kruger (102), Bruce Rasmusson (110) and Zane Christakes (285).

Alexander had six champions including Gage Wagner (126), Ben Merrill (132), Mason Bump (138), Kaden Lyon (145), Mitch Gaiser (160) and Maverick Bump (189).

Lyndonville next visits Holley-Kendall on Tuesday in the Genesee Region League opener.
