A second half comeback bid fell short as Roy-Hart dropped a 44-39 decision at Akron this evening in a Niagara-Orleans League boys basketball make-up game.

Akron built up a 15 point, 28-13, half-time advantage but Roy-Hart came battling back to cut the deficit to 39-28 after three quarters and then to just three late in the final stanza but could get no closer.

Ben Gerstung scored 14, Trace Hill 10 and Brayden Lamont 8 to pace the Tigers.

Dan Aquilina took game high honors with 23 for the Rams as Rem Albee and Brayden Ricker both added 6.

Akron improves to 5-0 in N-O competition as Roy-Hart slips to 1-2.
