Tigers top W-C to regain winning touch

Getting back onto the winning track, Lyndonville bested visiting Wheatland-Chili 52-41 this evening in a Genesee Region League game.

Nate Dillenbeck scored 18 and Nathan Hydock 17 to spearhead the offense for Lyndonville which bounced back from a 53-51 loss at Elba earlier in the week. Russell Stephens added 8, Noah Poler 7 and Casey Winiecki 2 for the Tigers.

Aaron Lund took game high scoring honors for W-C with 20.

Trailing 20-14 after the first period, Lyndonville rallied into slender leads of 27-25 at the half and 38-35 at the three-quarter mark. Hydock scored 9 in the second period while Poler had 5 and Dillenbeck 4 in the third.

The Tigers then locked up the win by outscoring W-C 14-6 in the final period as Hydock scored 5, Stephens 4, Dillenbeck 3 and Poler 2.

Lyndonville is now 2-1 in the league and 4-2 overall.

Notre Dame 97, Kendall 56

Pulling away in the third quarter, Notre Dame went on to down visiting Kendall 97-56 in a G-R contest.

Leading 45-35 at the half, the Irish outscored the Eagles 28-10 in the decisive third period to race away to a 73-45 advantage at the three-quarter mark.

Gabe MacDonald scored 23, Colin McCulley 20 and Cody Henry 16 to lead the way for Notre Dame.

Derek Edick scored 16 and Mason Kuhn 12 for Kendall.
