Tigers to host sectional diamond twin bill Sat.

Weather permitting, Lyndonville will host a Section V baseball, softball playoff doubleheader on Saturday.

The top seeded Lyndonville baseball team will host No. 16 Clyde-Savannah at 10 a.m. in a Class C2 pre quarterfinal game. The Tigers bring a 14-1 regular season record into the playoffs.

The Lyndonville softball squad, which is also seeded No. 1, will face Genesee Region League foe No. 8 Oakfield-Alabama in a Class C3 quarterfinal contest at 1 p.m. The Lady Tigers, which are 15-1, defeated the Lady Hornets 14-8 during the G-R season.

In a Class D1 quarterfinal game today, No. 10 Kendall dropped an 11-7 decision to No. 2 CG Finney.

In a Section VI Class B2 quarterfinal softball contest, No. 4 Akron blanked No. 5 Cleve Hill 4-0.
