Tigers slay Dragons to go to 14-0
Banging out a dozen hits, Lyndonville defeated host Pembroke this afternoon to stay perfect at 10-0 in the Genesee Region League and 14-0 overall.
Doubles by Brandon Schoolcraft and AJ Buckland highlighted a three-run first inning for Lyndonville. Singles by Justin Edwards, Jacob Hoffee and Ty Hrovat ignited the uprising.
The Tigers later capped off the win by scoring four times in the seventh inning on singles by Edwards, Hrovat, Schoolcraft, Buckland and Michael Wells.
Edwards, Hoffee, Hrovat, Schoolcraft and Buckland each finished with two hits.
Chris Scroger picked up the win on the mound for the Tigers scattering three hits and striking out four.
Alexander 14, Kendall 5
Alexander scored three times in the third inning and then four times in both the fifth and sixth frames to key a 14-5 victory over visiting Kendall in a G-R game.
Alex Sutphen had two hits for Kendall which slips to 3-7.
