A late run without the benefit of a hit earned Lyndonville a narrow 2-1 victory over host Byron-Bergen this afternoon in a Genesee Region League baseball game.

Breaking away from a 1-1 deadlock, Lyndonville scored the game winner in the sixth inning on a walk, a stolen base and a fielders choice play off the bat of Corey Hydock.

The Tigers only other run came in the third inning as Eric Neace doubled and came home on a single by Mike Wells. That tally tied the game as the Bees had scored in the first inning.

Zach Johnson pitched the first five innings for the Tigers allowing 3 hits and striking out 7.  Wells hurled the final two frames giving up 1 hit and striking out 3.

Lyndonville is now 2-1 in the league and 5-1 overall.
