Tigers roar to win over Raiders

Roaring out to a 22 point first quarter lead Lyndonville went on to defeat visiting Barker 75-40 this afternoon in a non league contest.
Capitalizing on a rash of turnovers Lyndonville roared out to a 23-0 lead at the outset.
Nathan Hydock scored 11, including four layups and a rebound basket, and Nate Dillenbeck 8, including a three and a three-point play, to spearhead the early uprising which saw the Tigers take a commanding 28-6 lead at the end of the opening period.
Lyndonville upped its advantage to 33, 50-17, advantage at the half as Dillenbeck scored 10 in the second quarter.
The Tigers lead increased to 37, 63-26, at the three-quarter mark.
Interestingly, 8 of Barker’s 9 field goals over the first three quarters came from three-point range.
Dillenbeck finished with a game high 24 to lead the Tigers as Hydock had 14, Devin Rounds 13, Russ Stephens 7, Noah Poler 6, Casey Winiecki 3 and Evan Horn, Nathan Neace, Trenton Muck and Hyden Woodward 2 each.
Joey Brandt scored 11 and Cole Ecker 10 to pace Barker as Shane Gerhardt had 5, Evan Taylor and Tyler Hillman 4 and Hunter Callen and Nathan Meza Ray 3 each.
Lyndonville improves to 5-2 while Barker slips to 1-7.
