Rebounding from an early 4-1 deficit, Lyndonville rallied to defeat visiting Oakfield-Alabama 7-5 this afternoon in a Genesee Region League.

Lyndonville rallied into the lead for good by scoring four times in the fifth inning on RBI singles by winning pitcher Jacob Hoffee, Corey Hydock, Mike Wells and Dawson Joy.  A single by Nolan Donald ignited that rally.

The Tigers added what proved to be the decisive two runs in the sixth inning on a double by Hoffee and a single by Eric Neace.  Again it was a single by Donald set set up the threat.

Hoffee and Hydock both finished with 3 hits and Donald 2.

On the mound, Hoffee scattered 7 hits and struck out 11.

Lyndonville, which next visits Wheatland-Chili on Tuesday, improves to 7-1 in the league and 11-1 overall.

Holley 7, Pembroke 6

Holley rallied from a 6-0 deficit to nip Pembroke 7-6 in nine innings in another G-R contest.

A passed ball plated the winning run in the ninth for Holley which had pulled even by scoring three times in both the sixth and seventh innings. Patrick Bower had an RBI sacrifice fly and Nate Towne a run producing single to highlight the Hawks seventh inning rally.
