Tigers rally past Northstar
Bouncing back from a disastrous first inning, Lyndonville rallied to nip visiting Northstar 7-6 this afternoon in a non league game to improve to 12-0 on the season.
Northstar jumped out to a 6-0 first inning lead as the Warriors capitalized on two walks, two hit batters and three singles.
Lyndonville though came battling back scoring once in the third and three more in the fourth to get back in the game. Justin Edwards had a big two out, three-run double in the fourth after an error and two walks had loaded the bases.
The Tigers later pulled out the win by scoring three times in the sixth on an error off a nifty sacrifice bunt by Trevor Bentley, and a two-run single by Edwards.
“We were lucky to pull it out,” said Tigers Coach Shane Price.
Byron-Bergen/Elba 5, Kendall 2
Byron-Bergen/Elba scored there times in the eighth on s walk, a passed ball and a hit batsman to down host Kendall 5-2 in a Genesee Region League game. Two singles and a walk loaded the bases to set up the two out rally.
Kendall had tied the game with a run in the bottom of the seventh on a sacrifice fly by Alex Sutphen.
Garett Love had two hits on the day for Kendall.
