Tigers open diamond season with victory

Jumping out to a big early lead, Lyndonville went on to defeat visiting CG Finney 15-7 this afternoon in the Tigers non league season opener.

Kane Flynn and Mike Wells both banged out 3 hits for Lyndonville as Dawson Joy and Cody Bentley chipped in with 2 apiece.

Dawson’s hits included a three-run double which highlighted a 4 run first inning.

The Tigers broke the contest open by erupting for 6 runs in the third highlighted by a two-run double by Eric Neace and RBI singles by Wells and Zach Johnson.

Roy-Hart 6, Buffalo Maritme 1
The pitching trio of Charlie Bruning, Ben Schwab and Tim Maines combined for a no hitter as Roy-Hart downed visiting Buffalo Maritime 6-1 in another non league contest.

Schwab registered 10 strikeouts in three and one-third innings of work on the mound.

At the plate, Nick Kubas had 3 hits for the Rams.

Wilson 8, Tonawanda 3
Tanner Seeley had 4 hits including 3 doubles and 4 RBIs to lead Wilson past Tonawanda 8-3 in a non league game.
