Tigers nip Purple Eagles by one in N-O tilt

Akron nipped visiting Albion 43-42 in a Niagara-Orleans League boys basketball game this evening.

Trailing 25-15 at the half, Albion did battle back into a 40-40 tie in the final minute after a pair of free throws by Ozzie Matos but the Purple Eagles could not gain the lead.

Donny Kreher scored 12 and Andrew Romesser 7 to pace Akron while Jahmeek Riley scored a game high 14 to lead Albion.

Akron is now 2-1 and Albion 0-3 in N-O action.

Notre Dame 83, Kendall 52
Building up a 49-27 half-time lead, Notre Dame went on to defeat visiting Kendall 83-53 in a Genesee Region League contest.

Cody Henry scored 23, Ryan Fitzpatrick 19 and Jordan Welker 17 to lead Notre Dame which improves to 10-3.

Jacek Kwiatkowski scored 20 and grabbed off 10 rebounds and Zach Barrett tallied 14 for Kendall.

Wheatland-Chili 59, Holley 35
Up 30-20 at the half, Wheatlnd-Chili went on to down visiting Holey 59-35 in a G-R game.

Broek Ostrom scored 16 and James Tette 8 for Holley.

Attica 54, Lyndonville 41

Grabbing a 25-18 half-time advantage, Attica went on to best Lyndonville 54-41 in a G-R contest.

Simon Lamparelli led Attica with 13.

Noah Poler scored 15 and Trenton Muck 13 for Lyndonville.
