Hawks romp past Blue Devils

Staying perfect at 9-0 in the league and 13-0 overall, Lyndonville defeated host Oakfield-Alabama 4-1 this afternoon in a Genesee Region League game.

Justin Edwards hurled a three hitter with 10 strikeouts for Lyndonville.

The Tigers were led at the plate by AJ Buckland, Michael Wells and Evan Milleville with two hits apiece.

Lyndonville scored twice in the fourth inning on RBI singles by Buckland and Wells as a double by Brandon Schoolcraft set up the threat.

The Tigers then added two big insurance runs in the seventh on a sacrifice by Edwards and an RBI single by Ty Hrovat. Singles by Wells, Milleville and Trevor Bentley set up the threat.

Holley 11, Attica 0
Josh Porter gave up only two hits and struck out 10 in six innings of work on the mound to lead Holley past Attica 11-0 in a G-R contest.

Poeter also helped himself by banging out three hits and driving in two runs.

Joe DeFelice and Brandon Weaver also both had three hits for the Hawks which improve to 6-4.
