Tigers, Hawks score diamond wins

Banging out 15 hits, Lyndonville posted an 11-2 victory over visiting Northstar this afternoon in a non league baseball game.

Winning pitcher Michael Wells, Eric Neace and Cody Bensley each had 3 hits for the Tigers as Dawson Joy and Andrew Dusett both added 2.

Trailing 2-0, Lyndonville moved on top to stay by scoring four times in the third inning on a solo home run by Joy, a two-run single by Wells and an RBI single by Neace.

The Tigers later put a lock on the win by scoring three times in both the fifth and sixth innings. Neace had an RBI single in both frames and Wells an RBI single in the sixth.

Wells went the distance on the mound allowing 4 hits and striking out 9.

Holley/Kendall 13, Pembroke 2
Holley/Kendall likewise rolled to a 13-2 victory over Pembroke in a Genesee Region League contest.

Trailing 2-0, Holley’Kendall rallied into the lead for good by scoring 5 runs in the second inning highlighted by two-run singles by both Justin Parker and Nick Passarell.

Parker and Passarell both had a pair of hits on the day as the Hawks go to 2-0 in G-R action.
