Tigers, Hawks and Eagles bow in G-R contests
It was a tough night for Orleans County’s three Genesee Region League boys basketball squads as Wheatland-Chili defeated Lyndonville 60-41, Oakfield-Alabama downed Holley 68-39 and Pembroke bested Kendall 55-32.
Aaron Lund scored 19 and Jahmere Copper 17 to pace W-C which led 33-22 at the half and 47-28 after three quarters.
Trenton Muck scored 22 and Noah Poler 10 for Lyndonville.
Kameron Cusmano scored 24 and Gaige Armbrewster 16 for Oakfield-Alabama which was up 38-22 at the half.
Broek Ostrom scored 21 and James Tette 10 for Holley.
Kendall closed to within five, 31-26, late in the third quarter but Pembroke answered with a key 8-2 run to finish the period with 39-28 lead.
Tyson Totten scored 22, including 19 in the first half, and Cayden Pfalzer 10 to lead Pembroke.
Jeffrey Pratt scored 11 for Kendall as Zach Barrett and Devin Edick both netted 7.
