Tigers have G-R All-Star quartet

Four players who helped Lyndonville earn the Division 2 title and a school record 19 victories have received Genesee Region League All-Star honors.

That quartet includes senior pitcher/outfielder Justin Edwards, senior infielder/pitcher Evan Milleville, junior infielder/pitcher Ty Hrovat and junior outfielder Austin Buckland.

The Tigers also had freshman catcher Michael Wells receive Honorable Mention.

Edwards, a repeat G-R All-Star, went 6-1 on the mound and also had two saves. He struck out 54 in 45.33 innings and had an earned run average of 1.54. At the plate, he hit .382 with eight doubles, one home run, 16 RBIs and 27 runs scored.

Milleville hit .417 with three doubles, 20 RBIs and 13 runs scored. On the mound, he struck out 15 in 19.33 innings and had a 2.90 era.

Hrovat hit .461 with seven doubles, 19 RBIs, 24 runs scored and 13 stolen bases. He went 5-1 on the mound with 26 strikeouts in 42 innings with a 1.67 era.

Buckland hit a team leading .500 with five doubles, two triples, one home run, 20 RBIs, 22 runs scored and 10 stolen bases.

Wells hit .391 with 13 RBIs and 16 runs scored.
