Tigers face a busy diamond week

It no doubt sounds like a broken record to preface any schedule story this way, but this spring’s weather has made it necessary to say that, ‘weather permitting,’ the Lyndonville baseball squad has a busy week slate upcoming of three games in four days.

Currently at 3-0, the Tigers are scheduled to host CSAT at 1 p.m. Monday in a non league game, Notre Dame at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in a Genesee Region League contest and Wheatland-Chili at 4:30 p.m. Thursday in another G-R game.

The Medina baseball squad likewise faces a three game week as the Mustangs will host Starpoint at 1 p.m. Monday in a non league game, visit CSAT Thursday at 12 p.m. in a Niagara-Orleans League contest and then host Oakfield-Alabama at 2 p.m. Saturday in a non league game.

The Lyndonville and Medina softball squads are slated to meet at 11 a.m. Friday at Vets Park in a non league contest. Lyndonville will also host Wheatland-Chili Thursday in a G-R game.

N-O baseball teams are also looking to take advantage of the spring break week to make up a number of games including Albion at Wilson at 12 p.m. Monday, Roy-Hart at Wilson and Newfane at CSAT Tuesday, Albion at Akron and Barker at Newfane at 12 p.m. Wednesday, Akron at Barker and Wilson at Newfane at 12 p.m. Thursday, Barker at Albion at 12 p.m. Saturday in addition to the Medina at CSAT contest.

The make-ups are important as N-O diamond teams have played only four of the 16 games that were scheduled up until now.

Albion is also slated to host Depew at 12 p.m. Tuesday and Alden at 2 p.m. Thursday and Roy-Hart will host Cleveland Hill at 12 p.m. Monday in non league baseball games.

In non league softball Albion is slated to visit Lockport at 12 p.m. Wednesday.

The Medina lacrosse team will host Brockport at 1 p.m. Thursday.
