Tigers edge past Trojans

Lyndonville trimmed visiting Alexander 56-52 this evening to improve to 5-1 in Genesee Region League action and 8-2 overall.

Breaking way from a 39-39 deadlock, Lyndonville outscored Alexander 17-13 in the decisive final period to claim the narrow win.

Nate Dillenbeck scored 11 points to spearhead the Tigers late surge as Nathan Hydock added 4 and Russ Stephens 2.

Dillenbeck finished with a game high 19 as Stephens netted 14, Hydock 12, Noah Poler 9 and Devin Rounds 2.

Kameron Lyons scored 17, Carson Wright 12, Devon Dean 11 and Bryce Davis 10 for Alexander.

Alexander held narrow leads of 13-10 after one period and 27-26 at the half. Wright scored all 12 of his points in the second period for the Trojans.

Stephens scored 6 and Hydock and Poler 4 each in the second period to keep the Tigers close.

Lyndonville rallied into the 39-39 tie at the three-quarter mark as Poler scored 5, Hydock 4 and Stephens and Dillenbeck 2 each in the third period.
