Lyndonville earns one-third share of Bolivar-Richburg tournament championship

Lyndonville earned a one-third share of the championship at this week’s Bolivar Richburg duals going going 8-1 over the two days.

The Tigers  defeated defending tournament and sectional champion Bolivar Richburg on day 1 39-36 Key wins came from a pin by Payton Grabowski over Kyle Mitchell at 189 and Christian Garver sealed the match by defeating defending sectional champion Teegan Sibble at 118 3-1.

Lyndonville was edged by Maple Grove 46-30 on day two putting them in a 3 way tie for first with Maple Grove and Bolivar Richburg.

Grabowski, Garver, and Sebastian Temich all went 9-0 for the tournament while Sam Doolan went 8-1, Justin Holmes 7-1 and Bubba Tackley and Ben Doolan went 7-2.

For the tournament, Lyndonville defeated Franklinville 65-12 Campbell-Savona 64-6, Bolivar-Richburg 39-36, Alfred-Almond 72-3, Arkport win 72-6, Olean 60-18, Fillmore/Keshequa 48-24 and Bath-Haverling 48-21 and lost to Maple Grove 46-30.
