Tiger matmen compete at Virginia Tourney
Making the long trek to northern Virginia, the Lyndonville High wrestling team had three place finishers at the Langley High Tournament on Saturday.
Chanse Amsdill (106) placed third, Ty Holmes (126) fifth and Brody Hazel (144) sixth for the Tigers.
A total of 13 wrestlers competed on the mat for Lyndonville which finished 10th out of 16 teams.
Lyndonville was joined in the tournament field by 13 teams from Virginia, one from Maryland and one from the District of Columbia.
NCCC Tournament
Medina had Reece Senske (116) place third and Brody Fry (190) fifth at the Linda Knuutils Memorial Wrestling Tournament on Saturday at SUNY Niagara (formerly NCCC).
Roy-Hart/Barker had Ronan Klug (170) place fourth, Luke Fay (138) fifth and Lucas Kimber (108) sixth.
William Kruger (152) placed third for Holley-Kendall.
Newfane’s Ayden Buttery took the 152 lb. title.
