Contributed Photos – Eight Lyndonville wrestlers attended the Penn State University Wrestling Camp this past weekend. The Tigers attending, who are shown here with Penn St. Coach Cael Sanderson, included, from left, Patrick Hargrave, Christian Garver, Avery Wilcox, Dillon Burt-Hodgins, Payton Grabowski, Coach Sanderson, Maddox Stirk, Brennon Munn and Connor Bell. They were accompanied by Lyndonville coaches Joe Suhr and James Zeliff.  The camp was a four day team camp that included instruction from the Penn St staff and wrestlers of the NCAA team champions for 8 of the last 9 seasons including 2018-19 and some competition. They received instruction from Olympic Gold Medalists Jake Varner and Coach Sanderson, the only wrestler ever to go undefeated in his collegiate career. They also were instructed by NCAA Champions Vincenzo Joseph, Jason Nolf, Mark Hall, and Anthony Cassar. The camp enabled the wrestlers to learn a ton of new things as well as getting to compete against top teams from all over the United States.

Here Penn St. Coach Cael Sanderson demonstrates a technique to the campers.
