Tiger grapplers place 4th at Tonawanda Tournament

TONAWANDA – Going 4-3 on a busy weekend, Lyndonville placed fourth at the Tonawanda Team Tournament.

Lyndonville defeated Lackawanna 60-11, Kenmore East 59-0, Wilson 66-18 and Tonawanda 40-30 but lost to Amherst 48-33, Newfane 48-33 and Williamville South 40-37.

Tony Recco went 7-0 and Jeff Gress Jr. 6-0 for the Tigers as Garren Bayne, Dustin Hinkley and Tom Follman were all 6-1, Chris McDonald and Dustin Joy 5-2 and Devon Joy, Alex Murphy, Dawson Joy and Cole Wilcox 4-3.

The Tigers next host Holley at 6 p.m. Tuesday in a Genesee Region League match.

Kendall competed in the Byron-Bergen Tournament over the weekend and Mason ReQua was the Eagles lone individual champion.
