Tiger cagers roll past Hawks

Avenging an earlier season last second home court loss, Lyndonville rolled to a 62-33 victory over visiting Holley this evening in a Genesee Region League boys basketball game.

AJ Buckland scored 19, Eddie Schildt 14 and Eric Neace 13 to spark the attack for Lyndonville. The Tigers also had Corey Hydock with 6, Brandon Schoolcraft and Nick Hinkson 4 each and Trevor Bentley 2.

Nick Passarell scored 14 to lead Holley as Joey DeFelice added 9 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals.

Getting point production from six different players, Lyndonville jumped out to a 12-4 lead at the end of the first period.

The Tigers extended the advantage to 31-14 at the half and to 42-27 at the three-quarter mark.

Schildt scored 5 and Buckland, Neace and Hydock each chipped in with 4 to key the Tigers 19-10 second period scoring burst.

Buckland also scored 5 in the third period and 8 in the fourth as Lyndonville outpointed Holley 20-6 down the stretch.

Lyndonville next visits Oakfield-Alabama on February 2 in a makeup contest.
