Having lost four starters to graduation, the Lyndonville boys basketball team faces a bit of a rebuilding task this season under new Coach CJ Knight.

Senior Noah Poler is the lone returning starter for the Tigers which also return seniors Trenton Muck and Mason Nicholson.

The Tigers are also counting on the trio of junior Ian Mank and seniors Roman Heinsler and Jack Whipple.

“We’re looking to play a hard pressure defense and off of that run a transition offense,” said Knight. “We’re looking to play everyone with a tenacious mindset.”

The Tigers graduation losses included starters Nathan Dillenbeck, Casey Winiecki, Russell Stephens and Anthony Moule.

Dillenbeck scored 278 points to finish his career with a school record 1,156 points. Stephens scored 178 points and grabbed off 140 rebounds.

Lyndonville will prep for the December 6 Genesee Region League home opener against Wheatland-Chili by visiting Akron in a non league contest on Dec. 1.
