Tie games highlight youth diamond action

In a pitchers dual the Champs Mini Mart Indians and the Woodroe Reality Cubs ended in a 0-0 tie this week.

Pitching for the Indians were Luke Duffina (3) innings giving up no hits, Aidan Papaj (2) innings allowing 1 hit and Lex Gray pitched 1 inning with no hits allowed. Combined the Indian pitchers had 13 strikeouts.

On a night that hits were hard to come by the Indians Gray had a triple, Papaj had a double, and Zach Graham had a single.

MTA Yankees 11, R-H Yankees 11
In a hard fought battle the MTA Yankees tied the Roy-Hart Yankees with a score of 11-11.

MTA Yankees Bats were led by Henry Rigerman who had a key triple in the 6th inning scoring 3 runs and Brody Fry who went 2 for 2 with a double and a single and scored 2 runs. Michael Chisler added 2 hits and scored 3 runs, Tyler Allen a hit, 1 RBI and scored 2 runs, Cameron Kenward  a hit and scored 2 runs, Cole Callard a single and stole home, and Jimmy Dieter a hit, a RBI, and scored what was the tying run off an RBI by Aiden Wisniewski.

Fry pitched 3 strong innings with 7 strikeouts, Callard added 4 strikeouts over 2 innings, and Tyler Kroening finished off the game 2 strikeouts to preserve the tie.
