The National Weather Service says a line of showers and thunderstorms will continue to affect Orleans and Niagara counties this evening.

The thunderstorms are moving east across Niagara into Orleans County this evening with small hail, gusty winds in excess of 30 miles per hour and torrential downpours.

“Expect rainfall rates in excess of an inch per hour with these storms which will produce ponding of water on area roads and may cause some poor drainage flooding,” the Weather Service stated. “Drivers are reminded to not drive their vehicle through any flooded roadways.”
