Temps will plummet and then a warmup on Wednesday

Temperatures are plummeting today after a recent warmup took a dent out of the high snow piles.

Today started at about 30 in the morning but will drop to the teens this evening with an overnight low of 10, the National Weather Service in Buffalo said.

Sunday there is a chance of snow showers with a high of 14 and overnight low around 6 degrees.

Monday there is a slight chance of snow showers before 1 p.m. with a high near 17 and overnight low of 12.

Tuesday it will warm up with a high near 27 and sunny, followed by a high near 49 on Wednesday and Thursday.
