The new year has started with high temperatures above freezing. But that will change later in the week, according to the National Weather Service.

Today will reach a high of 40, followed by a high of 43 with rain on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, the high will be 34 with a chance of snow showers, followed by Thursday’s high of 25, according to the Weather Service.

Friday and Saturday are both forecast for highs near 24.
