Pressed into service due to a shortage of players, GO (Genesee Orleans) Tigers owner Harold Suhr came out of retirement Saturday to quarterback his team to a 16-12 win over the host Jamestown Chiefs in a Northreastern Football Alliance game.

Including Suhr, who hasn’t played in a couple of years, the Tigers only had 15 players available for the contest.

Trailing 6-0, Suhr rallied the Tigers into the lead for good at 8-6 as he connected with Donte Robinson for a 70 yard touchdown pass play and then threw a two-point conversion pass to Gary LeFrois.

The Tigers later scored what proved to be the game winning touchdown in the second half on an interception by Stacy Moss. Suhr again added the two-point conversion pass.

Now at 1-1 on the young season, the Tigers next visit the Southern Tier Diesel on Saturday.
