MEDINA – Students in Gene Newman’s Security and Law Enforcement program at the Orleans Career and Technical Education Center spent some class time honoring veterans and their families.

Mr. Newman and his classes planted flags in front of the Orleans/Niagara BOCES center as a reminder of Nov. 11, which is Veterans Day.

“My class wanted to honor all of those who have sacrificed to preserve this nation in both peace and war,” he said.  “My goal is to establish a tradition for the Security and Law Enforcement program to do this each year.”
