MEDINA – Robert Humbert of Wolcottsville Wildlife recently received donations collected by the staff and students at the Orleans Career and Technical Education Center.

Mr. Humbert had recently worked with the school’s Envirothon team coached by Science teacher Peter Jablonski. Mr. Jablonski learned that Wolcottsville Wildlife depends on donations to care for the sick and injured animals it takes in. He approached the SkillsUSA officers to ask if they would like to support a collection drive for the organization.

Both senior and junior officers readily agreed, and senior officer Morgan Hahn created a flyer asking for donations of paper towels, gently used towels and blankets, cat and dog food, cleaning supplies, etc.

The school was able to donate two boxes of items and a check for $200 to help Wolcottsville Wildlife in their mission to care for injured wildlife. Mr. Humbert was thrilled with the donations and said it will all be put to good use.
