MEDINA – Allied Health teacher Lisa MacEvoy loves hearing about the successes of former students.
“I really like when they come and talk to my current students so they can hear how my class has helped them get to their career goal,” she said.
Recently 2008 Royalton-Hartland graduate, Jason Zayac, stopped in to present at the Medina Hospital classroom. He is pictured in the photo with Allied Health teacher Lisa MacEvoy.
He told the students that after graduation he attended the University of Rochester for his undergraduate classes and worked in a research lab at Strong Memorial Hospital for two years before being accepted into University at Buffalo’s medical school, where he is finishing the MD/MBA program. He will finish his MD/MBA in May of 2019.
“I am so proud of him,” said Mrs. MacEvoy. “He really enjoyed meeting the current Allied Health students and telling them about his experiences. I also had his older brother Adam in my class and he just finished his residency in Internal Medicine and is starting a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology in July.”
