Strong season start for local track duo

Albion High graduate and SUNY Brockport junior Chanyce Powell as been named the Golden Eagles Female Athlete of the Week after her performance in last weekend’s Brockport Season Opener indoor track meet.
Powell , who is majoring in Exercise Physiology, won the Triple Jump with an effort of 11.17 meters and took second in the Long Jump with a leap of 5.43 meters.
Medina High grad and Brckport sophomore Daniel Heil won the mile at the meet with a time of 4: 49.69.
Heil is majoring in Accounting.
